10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943 was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply system.
He is the author of nearly 300 patents that protect its 125 inventions in 26 countries, mainly various electrical appliances, of which the most famous are: electric motor, generator, AC, auto-transformer, bicycle dynamo, radio, power hydro, solar, disk turbine and Tesla Coil (resonant coil high voltage). Nikola Tesla was, among others, creator of the first devices remotely controlled by radio. Initially they regarded as the founder of Marconi's radio, but in 1943. US Supreme Court granted patent rights Tesl. The hearing was settled after the death of the inventor, which commonly as the creator shall be deemed to Marconi's radio, even though he admitted using Tesla's earlier work in building the radio.
Nikola Tesla claimed that his brother (who died in his youth from injuries after falling from a horse) was much more capable than him. According to his brother Nikola was the "intellectual giant", "gifted to an extraordinary degree".
